Happy belated Earth Day

We do a few things around our house to help conserve energy. We definitely don't do as much as we could/should. Joslyn has given up paper towels. I'm not quite there but have thought about doing it myself. Hmmmm.

I watch Oprah, I admit it. She did a version of Wife Swap - one very energy efficient family with one very energy INefficient family. I haven't watched the whole episode yet but it definitely left me with a big question mark above my head. "What can we do?" I headed out to the garage and made sure that my reusable bags were in my car (not hanging in the garage) ready to my next Wal-Mart run. Yes, I know, this isn't going to change the world but it will cut down on my trash/recycling. And we do recycle I'm proud to say. Parker County - I wish you provided every house with a recycling bin/pick-up service!!
It isn't pretty but this is our recycling area. See the blue Ikea bags? They're in my car now and the smaller Old Navy ones. Oh, we are saving our coffee grounds for our flower beds. It's not a compost bin but it's a start people.
